October Trend That Creates A Mood

This trend is for the ones who love color-or barely any color. Monochromatic rooms are adding a hint of simplicity to our lives. A monochromatic room is a room that consists of one colors’ hues, tints, tones and shades.

Monochromatic color schemes can be beneficial for creating a sense of balance and wellbeing within a room. Monochromatic color palettes within a room can distribute a bold statement and mood depending on the color used. Here are some tips that you can utilize if you are trying to achieve a monochromatic color scheme.

First, you want to make sure that you have a color scheme picked out. Don’t be afraid to use a bold color. It may seem like an all-white or neutral room is easier to design, but it might come to your surprise that the opposite is true. Once you have a color picked out, decide what contrasting hues, tints, tones and shades you want to use. Don’t be afraid to play around with a more intense color; Source: HGTV

Texture is your best friend when you are trying to pull off a monochromatic room. This concept is useful when you are using strictly neutral colors. Adding different textures can keep a room from falling flat. For example, if you are designing an all-neutral room, wood textures are great. Other techniques that will keep a room from falling flat include linear designs and creating focal points.
